"Agents Of SHIELD" season 3 premiere is happening in one month.
This means at least four weeks until fans learn the whereabouts of Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) who in last season's finale mysteriously vanished after being sucked by what could be an alien rock.
Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and the rest of the group was able to save Skye (Chloe Bennett) but a new problem awaits them as their friend Simmons went missing.
When "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 premiere airs, this is one of the questions that will be answered.
"We're going to find out what happened to Simmons pretty quickly," Henstridge told the press as reported by Den of Geek. "She's definitely changed by the experience, and what's happened to her is going to impact the season -- kind of as a theme or something like that."
"I didn't think that they'd go that far with it, honestly," she added. "I thought, 'She's probably just inside the rock. Stuck'... [The writers'] imaginations are much better than mine."
Although Simmons is not sure what the event's effect will be on her body, she revealed that it will affect her relationship with Inhumans who she and Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) are studying. This could also mean a strain in her friendship with Skye who revealed to be an inhuman in the second season.
"It will be interesting to see if her views on Inhumans have changed at all, and how that alters her relationships with the other people," she added.
"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 premiere will see at least a few months of time jump from second season's finale. Aside from addressing Simmons' case, the third season will also see the arrival of Inhuman Lash who Henstridge said will shake things up in the show.
"It's going to be a huge spectacle. We're so honored to be able to have him in the show. It's just huge. I can't even explain how crazy it's going to get," she said.
"Agents of SHIELD" season 3 premiere is on September 29.
