The first season of "The Flash" heavily tackled time travel. When "The Flash" season 2 premiere arrives, fans can expect the same thing.
That is not the only exciting geeky thing that will happen in the second season. Aside from breaking time barrier, there will also be instances that Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will break into another universe also known as Earth Two.
When will Earth Two be officially introduced? In "The Flash" season 2 premiere episode or the following weeks? Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said it will explored sooner than what was thought.
"Well, it sounds like that singularity leads to a pretty familiar place. In speaking about the great care they took with making their version of time travel both easy to digest and complex enough to be exciting for the diehard fans in season 1," Entertainment Weekly reported when a fan asked for a "The Flash" season 2 spoiler, following it up with a quote from Kreisberg.
"We're trying to do the same thing this year with Earth 2 and the concept of the multiverse and the concept of dopplegangers. We've been having a lot of fun with that and getting glimpses of Earth 2 probably sooner than people would've thought."
Signs that Earth Two is coming to the show is when Barry Allen stormed to the worm hole. Another hint is the confirmed arrival of Jay Garrick who will be played by Teddy Sears. Reports say Jay Garrick will be the Scarlet Speedster's new mentor.
"As the season aims to explore Barry finessing his powers, Jay Garrick's arrival is "going to have an impact on everybody on Team Flash," according to Danielle Panabaker. "He's going to be a very cool mentor to Barry and he's going to help Barry expand his powers and the things that he's capable of doing," Entertainment Weekly wrote when a fan asked for a "The Flash" season 2 spoiler back in June.
In the comics, Earth Two refers to a fictional universe that explains how many Silver Age characters, especially The Flash, appear in stories wit their Golden Age counterparts.
"The Flash" season 2 premiere is on October 6.
