Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik went from having romantic birthday dinners to throwing shade at each other during interviews.
When news started spreading about their broken engagement, the Little Mix member reportedly had to put up a brave front since she had to go through interviews and press events for their comeback, People reported.
"Perrie's being supported by her bandmates, but she's really in pieces about this," a source supposedly told the magazine.
She also told an E! earlier this week that she was "good."
Despite her put-together facade, the 22-year-old singer vented her devastation on Instagram later on. She reportedly unfollowed her ex fiancé and even deleted all the pictures of the guy on her account.
This reportedly happened after the "I Won't Mind" crooner liked a sexy photo of 17-year-old Kylie Jenner on the photo-sharing site.
The purging seemed deserved as well, if Hollywood Life is to be believed. According to the gossip site, Perrie Edwards was dumped by Zayn Malik through a text message after three years together.
As if unfollowing him wasn't enough, she also threw some shade at Malik when she told Radio Disney that her current favorite song at the moment was One Direction's new single, "Drag Me Down," a.k.a. the first song they released as a four-member group.
"It's incredible," she reportedly said.
Despite the apparent dig, however Hollywood Life reported that Malik wasn't "upset" at the remark and was even expecting more of it.
"He expects it to happen again, he's not upset, he's more disappointed that he has to continue to hear about it," an insider allegedly told the site.
Meanwhile, Louis Tomlinson's ex-girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, has reportedly been giving the "Black Magic" some advice, "don't call him!"
"Stop looking for happiness in the same place you lost it," she reportedly said to the "devastated" girl.
For now, it seems that both Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik are slowly easing themselves back into the single life.
