Xiaomi might launch the Redmi 2 Prime in india.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime was spotted on Amazon India, but its listed as "unavailable". Reports claim that the Chinese tech company will be releasing the device soon.
The device was listed with a 2GB of RAM and backed up by a 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via external storage. The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has been reportedly just an upgrade of the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
The list of its specs follows the Xiaomi Redmi 2 which has a dual-SIM dual-standby which pulls off a 4.7-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixel) resolution and 312ppi.
Under the hood, is a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with Adreno 306 GPU.
In terms of its design, it is available in five different color variants of Yellow, Pink, Green, White, and Black, and weighs 133 grams and has a 9.4mm-thick
Also, it is armed with an 8MP main camera and a 2MP front snapper and backed by a 2200mAh battery.
In addition, its connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G LTE (TDD/FDD) network support, NDTV reported.
Phone Arena added that the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime will run on Android Kitkat 4.4 and MIUI 6 on top of it.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi has already announced that it will be holding an event in Beijing whereas its very own MIUI 7 will be introduced.
Xiaomi's announcement on Weibo does not reveal anything about the upcoming OS, but it was already confirmed months ago that it partnered with Android Open Kang Project (AOKP) team for the MIUI 7 custom user interface, according to NDTV, and it could be based on Google's Android 5.1 Lollipop.
GSM Arena also reported that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 could possibly make its debut at the said event.
