‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Enlists Colin Farell! Who Is He Playing?

The "Harry Potter" spinoff, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" is turning out to be a star-studded film with the announcements of additional cast members!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Colin Farrell has signed on to join the "Harry Potter" spinoff!

Currently appearing in HBO's award-winning series, "True Detective", the Irish heartthrob will reportedly be playing Graves, a wizard that Newt Scamander will meet in New York City.

He joins an already impressive cast, with Oscar Best Actor winner Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, the lead character and author of the Hogwarts textbook of the same name.

Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller, Alison Sudol and Jenny Murray are joining the film as well.

Tony winner Dan Fogler was also cast as a non-magical person who befriends the magizoologist during his journey.

David Yates, who directed several films of the "Harry Potter" franchise, was tapped to helm the first instalment of the projected trilogy.

International bestseller JK Rowling herself will be writing the screenplay. "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them" will be Rowling's first screenplay project.

David Heyman will be producing alongside Rowling, "Harry Potter" scriptwriter Steve Kloves and Lionel Wigram.

Warner Bros' film chief previously revealed that Rowling script was "brilliant."

The writer also revealed that Newt will be visiting an American wizarding school which won't be located in New York.

She also teased her Twitter followers that the said academy will have a connection with Native American culture.

The upcoming movie is scheduled to be released worldwide in 3D and Imax on Nov. 18, 2016.

The "Harry Potter" franchise had been known to include the who's who in the British film industry. It seems that the spinoff is Warner Bros' second chance at casting more notable actors.
