Two years ago, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt wished to do "something charitable on her own, over Christmas," now Angelina Jolie has made that dream come true.
Last month, the 40-year-old wife of Brad Pitt has allowed the nine-year-old Shiloh to go on a humanitarian trip with her.
"Shiloh is very aware that I hold refugee families in high regard and has been asking to come on missions and meet them for many years," Jolie told People Magazine in June on a trip to honor World Refugee Day.
A video recently released showed how Brad Pitt and Angelina's daughter witness the reunion of Ange with a special girl named Hala.
"When I met Hala in 2014, they had arrived in Lebanon as refugees," Jolie Pitt said in the video. "One year later, I'm back with my daughter Shiloh to see how life has been."
Angelina Jolie reportedly brought her daughter Shiloh to the refugee camp to show her how other people's lives are lived outside of the comforts of a big home and all the riches in the world.
"Their memories of Syria are fading. They have stopped counting the days in displacement. Nothing is certain and they feel abandoned," Angelina Jolie said on the refugees' current situation.
In addition, she said, "as a refugee, you cannot legally work in a host country. As a refugee, you learn how the world feels about you. You know if your suffering causes outrage and compassion - or if it is mostly ignored. Families like [Hala], living in Lebanon without parents, on half food rations and paying $100 a month to live in a tent - they know."
Before leaving Hala and her family, Ange promised to comeback, possibly with her daughter Shiloh again.
"Upon leaving the family, Shiloh asked many questions. It is of course hard to explain all of the harsh realities of war and displacement. She said she felt sad, but was happy that she went and is looking forward to the next visit."
After spending some quality time together Angelina Jolie and daughter Shiloh reportedly went to Midyat Camp in Turkey where they spent World Refugee Day, with UNHCR High Commissioner Antonio Guterres.
There, Shiloh met with other Syrian and Iraqi refugees with Angelina Jolie.
Angelina Jolie's kindness towards homeless people reportedly influenced her kids.
"Angie's influence of altruism runs deep in the family. She manages to find ways to take at least one or two of her children with her when doing service for the United Nations or Unicef, and that experience has worn off," OK! Magazine reported back in Dec. of 2013.
