While Microsoft has yet to announce the official release date to "Gears of War 4," more and more details about the highly anticipated game have been revealed.
Following the release of "GOW 3" remastered version, fans have grown interest in what's bound to happen in the fourth installment of the game.
Now, Christian Today reported that there will be two new characters that will be introduced in "Gears of War 4" come its release date.
Following Marcus Fenix's story, a man named JD and his female companion Kait will reportedly take over the gaming franchise.
Furthermore, "Gears of War 4" is reportedly not going to be side-story or a prequel to the previous installments as opposed to previous reports.
Rod Fergusson revealed to IGN more details as to what fans could expect in the coming game. Nothing that the upcoming game will go back to the "Gears of War" origin as a monster game.
"We're going back to something personal, intimate, dark, and mysterious, being afraid of the boogeyman," he told IGN.
Going back to the two new main characters, Fergusson's statement could have hinted that JD and Kait are unlike Marcus Fenix. The two new protagonists are expected to reveal a whole new aspect to the game.
"You look at someone in, say, 20 years of age, and there is still much to develop. There is a greater opportunity. The impact of the game on the character may be higher," he said in an article at MyTechBits.com.
Meanwhile, Trusted Reviews claimed that Fergusson, who has now learned to stick to the schedule will most likely set "Gears of War 4" release date on Q4 of 2016.
