Miles Teller's "Fantastic Four" co-stars have spoken about the actor following backlash over his "Esquire" Magazine's cover story, where he was described as a "d*ck."
The actor, who plays the role of "Reed Richards" in the superhero film based on the Marvel comics, had recently responded to "Esquire", saying they have "misrepresented" him.
Now, Jamie Bell, Kate Mara and Michael B. Jordan, Miles Teller's co-actors in "Fantastic Four," comes to his defense.
Jamie Bell, who portrays "The Thing (Ben Grimm) in the film franchise, wrote via Twitter,
"@Miles_Teller is a great actor & a great guy. @esquire"
"@Miles_Teller is my boy and I'm a great judge of character. @esquire," Michael B. Jordan tweeted.
Meanwhile, Kate Mara, who plays "Sue Storm" in the movie, had this to say about her on-screen husband: "My movie husband @Miles_Teller is crazy talented and a truly fantastic person. @esquire"
The "Fantastic Four" stars' tweets came after "Esquire" Magazine tagged Teller as a "young, talented" actor "who doesn't give a rat's a**" what anyone thinks.
Anna Peele, the author of said feature article, starts out by writing,
"You're sitting across from Miles Teller at the Luminary restaurant in Atlanta and trying to figure out if he's a d*ck."
Meanwhile, the magazine's Twitter account promoted the story with the caption: "Miles Teller is on a quest for greatness (with a bit of dickishness too)."
Teller, who played so many antagonistic roles in the past (and perhaps played them too well?) did not take Peele's and "Esquire's" comments lightly. The 28-year-old actor then tweeted, "@esquire couldn't be more wrong. I don't think there's anything cool or entertaining about being a di** or an a**h**e. Very misrepresenting."
Miles Teller and his "Fantastic Four" co-stars recently appeared in the film's New York Premiere, dressed to the nines. The film is showing in cinemas worldwide.
