A 'Fireball' is about to light up the "Empire" season 2 cast. The Fox musical drama's star is just getting brighter each week as one more internationally known rapper has been enlisted for the show.
Pitbull, known for his songs like "Fireball", "Timber", and "Wa Are One (Ole Ola)" is set to sing a song or two in the show together with Jussie Smollett's Jamal Lyon.
"Pitbull is continuing his relationship with Fox by guest-starring and performing on the upcoming second season of Empire, the network announced at the Television Critics Association's semi-annual press tour on Thursday," the Entertainment Weekly's "Empire" season 2 casting news reads.
"The musician/actor, who hosted this year's New Year's Eve concert special for Fox, will play himself and perform "No Doubt About It' with Jamal (Jussie Smollett) during an episode slated to air in fall."
Last season, "Empire" was graced by Gladys Knight, Rita Ora, Juice J, Patti Labelle who also played as themselves.
For this season, "Empire" season cast will welcome other big music names like Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Common, Tyrese Gibson, and Ludacris.
A day before Pitbull's "Empire" season 2 casting, the show announced Adam Busch is also coming.
"Men At Work alum Adam Busch has signed on to Adam Busch 4multi-episode recurring arcs on the second season of Fox smash Empire and USA Network's new alien-occupation drama Colony. In Empire, he will play Chase One, a sexy, gifted, avant-garde gay artist who's doing a photo shoot, and is infatuated with his male star," Deadline exclusively reported.
"Empire" will pickup shortly from where it left off in the first season wherein Terrence Howard's Lucius Lyon is in jail and gets a visit from his former wife Cookie (Taraji P. Henson). Their kids will also be at war with each other with Jamal acting as Empire Entertainment CEO and Hakeem (Bryshere Gray) and Andre (Trai Byers) on their mother's side.
"Empire" season 2 release date is September 23.
