This is probably the biggest "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler fans of the Fox comedy series are waiting for.
The identity of the new captain that will take over Cap. Raymond Holt's job. The show finally put a face in the mysterious Precinct 99 lead officer as it announced yesterday that movie actor Bill Hader will join the show to fill the vacant position.
"There's a new boss in Brooklyn, and he'll be played by Bill Hader," Entertainment Weekly wrote in its exclusive "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler.
"EW has learned that Brooklyn Nine-Nine has cast the Trainwreck star and SNL vet as the new captain in the precinct, filling the position vacated by Captain Holt (Andre Braugher), who took a PR post with the NYPD in the Fox comedy's season 2 finale. This captain is described as 'efficient.'"
What kind of boss will he be to the crew inside Precinct 99? Andy Samberg, who plays lead character Detective Jake Peralta, said there is nothing to be worried about.

"Everyone is going to be really happy with who the new captain is," he promised in an interview with TV Line.
"And the way that the [episode] is conceived, that is far from the final surprise. It takes a lot of fun story twists and turns, in very rapid succession, once the new captain is announced. It's going to be a really funny and good episode."
Although there is a new captain, Holt will still be a round. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler from last month revealed Braugher's character will be out of the office but not too far away.
"Fear not! "He will be on the show," executive producer Dan Goor promises. "Holt will be out of the office for the first few episodes. We'll be following him and Gina to the PR world." Holt's replacement "will cause ripples in the office," Goor adds, noting that Peralta may have a tough time handling this big change.
