David Guintoli and his co-stars revealed several interesting "Grimm" season 5 spoilers, including Nick's new role as a father to his baby with Adalind (Claire Coffee) and Rosalie's past haunting her current life with Monroe.
According to the TV star, there are also plans to have "a little bit of a reboot" this Fall. This means Nick and the gang, with Officer Wu as a new addition, focusing more on protecting Portland from Wesens.
"This year is going to be the rise of the Wesen. It's going to be kind of revolutionary-type Wesen group that wants to wreak havoc upon every one of our beloved people," executive producer David Greenwalt previously shared, according to The Hollywood Reporter, adding that the Loch-ness monster will be showing up soon.
Sasha Roiz also shared more "Grimm" season 5 spoilers to Showbiz Junkies about the said reboot and the show's plans to get back to its roots.
"We talked about this 'reboot'...like I think after a few seasons you get off track a little bit which is normal for any show," he told the site.
"You go in every direction and you test things out. Some things work and some things don't work. And now you kind of revisit season one and go, 'What was it originally that we were aiming to do?'"
His own character, Captain Sean Renard, being a Wesen himself, also experienced several changes in the past four seasons but it seems season five will be bringing him back to the "underbelly" of the show's main issue.
"I think that there's a lot of that return to season one," he continued. "A lot of the darkness of it, the eeriness, that underbelly of Wesen - that danger that is looming everywhere. I think we're going to be coming back to that."
He also teased that there might just be some "political intrigue" for Renard, being the Portland Police Chief. It was already revealed in one of the past episodes that he actually craves power. Could this be explored more when the show airs on Oct. 30?
