Nia Guzman and Chris Brown have been fighting over their daughter, Royalty for many months.
Now, the RnB singer wants a paternity test to confirm that he is indeed Royalty's real father.
Nia Guzman and Chris Brown has had several differences when it comes to who should take care of their one-year-old daughter, Royalty.
A few weeks ago, Hollywood Life reported that Guzman has been keeping Royalty from seeing her father online, while the RnB singer was on tour.
"The last four times he's tried to FaceTime Royalty, Nia had excuses," a Hollywood Life source said. "The first time she said Royalty was sleep. Chris was like, 'Okay cool, I'll call back in a couple of hours.' When he did that, Nia said she left and Royalty was with the nanny."
Brown called back a few times after and everytime, Guzman had silly excuses to keep Royalty from talking to the "Loyal" singer.
For months, Guzman has been demanding a $15,000 monthly support for Royalty. Brown, however, refused to give in to Guzman's demands and only wanted to pay $2,500.
She had also expressed doubt over Brown's ability to take care of their daughter, especially after a security breach in the singer's mansion in Los Angeles where three unidentified men ransacked his house.
The clash between two parents intensified when Guzman recently demanded Brown to pay $4,000 a week in child support.
"He's tired of this and he doesn't feel like he has to come out of pocket and break bread for Nia so he can see his own daughter," another Hollywood Life source previously said of Nia Guzman's demands to Chris Brown.
In an attempt to put Nia Guzman and Chris Brown's feud over Royalty to bed, the singer recently filed joint custody for the child and requested the judge to order a paternity test.
"Chris is asking the judge to order a paternity test," Carl Anthony Moore, Guzman's legal counsel, reportedly told Hollywood Life.
If the paternity test confirms that Brown is indeed Royalty's father, he will be given rights to fight for Royalt's custody versus Guzman, according to a TMZ report. Along with the legal battle, Brown demands clear guidelines for Royalty's custody.
