ABC TV series "Revenge" ended on May this year after being cancelled while in the middle part of its fifth season.
The show has been gone for more than two months now but it seems there is still something to expect from the show that starred Emily VanCamp and Madeleine Stowe.
There is a possibility that there will be a "Revenge" spin off series.
New ABC show "The Kingmakers" is being marked as an unofficial "Revenge" spinoff series but according to the network's Entertainment Group president Paul Lee there might be a real "Revenge" extension show.
"We didn't pick up the pilot, but Revenge is a wonderful brand around the world and it doesn't preclude us from doing it again," Lee said after ABC's TCA session.
"Revenge" ran for four seasons and a total of 89 episodes. Shortly after its penultimate episode, there were rumors of a "Revenge" spinoff series featuring Gabriel Mann's Nolan Ross.
These speculations arose because of a scene wherein VanCamp's Emily is giving his computer genius friend Nolan Ross a new job after taking down Victoria Grayson.
However, showrunner Sunil Nayar insisted that scene was not to make audience think about a spinoff.
"There was a thought about continuing it, yes," Nayar told TV Line when asked about that particular Nolan scene.
"We knew that Amanda and Jack would be out there somewhere, and whatever we decided to do with the story - whether it focused on Nolan or not - we would try to get some of the gang back. Amanda Clarke is now Amanda Clarke, so there's a totally different dynamic there. If we were to start a new story, we'd have to factor in that she has a different presence in the world now."
Despite that, Nayar insisted if there will be a "Revenge" spin off series and it will be something similar to "Breaking Bad" spin off "Better Call Saul."
"When she first met Nolan, he was more famous because she was trying to be Emily Thorne. It would have been fun to see that dynamic flipped, re-focusing the show on Nolan in a Better Call Saul kind of way."
