After numerous speculations, Naughty Dog has reportedly confirmed the release date to "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" by revealing a box art.
However, the giant gaming studio has yet to give out a specific date to the game's launch. But according to PlayStation president Andrew House, the sequel to the post-apocalyptic game will most likely going to hit the shelves in March of 2016.
"During its annual Investor Relations Day conference, PlayStation president Andrew House revealed that Naughty Dog's upcoming action-adventure game will be out before the company's 2015 fiscal year comes to a close, which ends March 31, 2016," the publication stated.
In line with the release date news, game lead designer Kurth Margenau teased fans of what to expect in "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," focusing on the final chapter of Nathan Drake.
"[Druckmann and Straley], our directors, they have a vision [for Uncharted 4]," Margenau said in an interview with Game Spot. "We are fulfilling that vision and it's going to be awesome. It's Nathan Drake's final chapter, so I think fans are going to be happy."
"The first three games were the set-up, and if we were to do one more, how would we top it all off. How would we bring Nathan Drake's journey to a close? Everything we're doing [with Uncharted 4] is constructed towards that; Bringing closure to a very long journey."
And while the game that will ensue Nathan Drake's final chapter is yet to arrive, Naughty Dog is reportedly going to release a whole new "Uncharted" series collection for PS4, which would debut all installments running on1080p and 60 frames per second, Game Spot added.
And during an appearance in PlayStation Blogcast, Sony Worldwide Studios development head Scott Rohde confirmed the reported news.
"We talked about 1080p/60--that makes a huge difference in any game. I think you're going to really appreciate that," he said.
While waiting for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" release date, Dual Shockers reported that Naughty Dog has finally released a gameplay trailer.
Furthermore, Naughty Dog is reportedly confident that the upcoming installment to the gaming franchise is going to be spectacular despite being delayed for a year.
"Our team is just full of evil geniuses and wizards and they're just really good programmers," Community Strategists Eric Monacelli explained. "With a lot of dev teams - I worked in a few different places - it's the same sort of feel, but Naughty Dog has this sort of special magic that whenever we go into crunch it's just like, we all come together and we want the absolute best of everything. And it just somehow comes out and shines through, it's just incredible."
