Why does "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 host Tyra Banks fancy Koreans lately? The upcoming season is featuring a hot Korean male model and it could be remembered that the last season had them visiting Seoul.

Twenty-year-old Korean model Justin Kim is one of the most anticipated contestants on "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 which begins this week.

His sculpted body and true Asian features are making him the new face in the fashion and modelling industry. Now that he is set to compete on "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 as the first Asian male model to have ever joined the reality show, eyes are on him.

Justin Kim hails from Springfield, Virginia and stands at six feet and two inches. Before entering "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22, this hot Asian hunk has done editorial, erotic, fitness, lifestyle, swimwear and promotional modelling, his Model Mayhem profile said.

Aside from these, he has been into underwater modelling as well as acting.

When it comes to his personality, one can only guess as his Instagram photo posts rarely show him writing captions that are lengthy enough to describe his life events.

Most of his photos have captions that are both minimal and artistic - a man of a few words.

While he is the first Asian male to have competed on "America's Next Top Model," there have been Asian contestants who participated in the previous seasons prior to Cycle 22.

Yibada noted Shei Phan, a female contestant of Vietnamese, Irish and Native American descent who competed in the 21st season of the show.

Fellow Koreans such as Gina Choe and Jennifer An were also featured on "America's Next Top Model" Cycles 6 and 13, respectively. The former did not place any higher according to Yibada.

The 11th cycle also found Japanese-Korean Sheena Satana as one of the contestants back then. A Filipino model named Claire Unabia was also part of the 10th cycle, the report added.

Fans of "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 22 around the world are reportedly rooting for Justin Kim to be the first Asian male model to win the competition.

The winner of this cycle is going home with $100,000 from Zappos Couture and will become the face of its 2016 brand. He or she also earns a fashion spread in NYLON magazine and a Next Management modelling contract.

The new season is beginning this week on The CW.

Mama Dukes said she liked this one the best.
