Grandpa Prince Charles was absent at Prince George's soiree at Anmer Hall last July. His absence didn't mean he forgot his first grandson's second birthday all together.
According to Daily Mail, the Duke Of Cornwall visited his grandchildren at Anmer Hall the following week and even had a special gift for "the little monkey."
He reportedly turned his beloved Highgrove Gardens into a "veritable toddler's playground." Prince George, as well as Princess Charlotte, can now make use of the refurbished Hollyrood House (named after the Queen's house in Scotland as well as the tree it was initially based on).
The William Bertram-designed tree house was reportedly built for the little prince's own father, Prince William, and uncle, Prince Harry, in 1988.
An artisan's shepherd's hut - complete with a bed, woodburner and French oak floors - was also built in the wildflower meadow for Prince George.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles reportedly hopes for his grandchildren to inherit his green thumb since neither of his sons enjoyed gardening and planting trees. In fact, he already gave little George a lesson in gardening as they planted trees in the property last month.
It looks like Prince Charles is making every effort to spend more time with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, but is he waging a losing battle for his grandchildren's attention?
Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that the next-in-line to the British throne has been "complaining [that] he never got to see his grandson." On the other hand, Carole Middleton has been spotted spending a lot time with the toddler. Even Prince George's birthday party last July 22 was attended by the little royal's maternal family.
The gossip site further said that Prince Charles refurbished the tree house at Highgrove "to gain more favor with Prince George."
Do you think Prince Charles is jealous about Prince George spending more time with Grandma Carole and the rest of the Middletons?
