"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler back in May revealed the romance between Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) won't skyrocket in an instant.
Even if they shared a kiss in the second season finale, showrunner said fans should not expect that much from the two's love story in the second season.
While Jake and Amy will continue holding back their feelings, one of their colleagues will get his own S.O. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler from TV Line revealed Joe Lo Truglio's Detective Boyle will meet a new woman he will take an interest on.
"This just in: Kalinda Sharma has joined the NYPD! Former Good Wife star Archie Panjabi is returning to the small screen this fall on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, TVLine has learned exclusively," the entertainment website wrote.
"The Emmy winner will guest star as Lieutenant Knox, a police officer who has her eye on Joe Lo Truglio's Detective Boyle. She'll appear in Season 3's second episode, slated to air Oct. 4.
This marks Panjabi's first TV stint since wrapping her six-year run as Good Wife's high-skirted, big-booted detective."
Back to the Jake-Amy romance. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler last May revealed it won't be a smooth sail for them. Series creator Dan Goor said they are yet to figure out what is going.
"It's not smooth sailing from here on out," Goor said when asked for a "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 spoiler regarding Jake and Amy romance. "They work together, they're different personalities. They kissed in a moment of trauma, and now they have to figure out what's happening."
As for the cliffhanger in second season's finale, Goor assured Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) is coming back, as well as Chelsea Peretti's Gina. He even said that letting those two go is a crime.
"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 3 release date is September 27.
