Recently the upcoming HTC Desire 828w passed TENAA certification which could indicate a release date is looming.
According to Android Authority, the Desire 828w incorporate some of its Desire siblings. It packs a a 5.5-inch 1080p display, while under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2GB of RAM.
The TENAA documentation also revealed that the upcoming mid-ranger has a 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through a microSD card slot of up to 128GB of external storage and will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop on board with HTC's Sense 6.0 software.
It is also interesting to note that, HTC hasn't ditched its "Ultapixel" technology yet as the phone was listed to sport a 4MP "Ultrapixel" Android 5.1 Lollipop on board with HTC's Sense 6.0 software.
In terms of its design, it has "rounder edges and dual speaker/microphone grills" and measures 157.7×78.8×7.9mm and weighs 150g. It will come in black, blue, gold, grey, orange, red and white color variants.
When a smartphone passes TENAA certification, its release date usually follows after a few days, whereas the upcoming HTC Desire 828w might debut soon.
As the Taiwan-based tech giant continues to expand its Desire line-up, another Desire phone has been leaked in live photos after it was spotted in TENAA certification last month.
The photos revealed a premium design on a mid-range device which features a metal frame and polycarbonate body, and BoomSound speakers above and below the display, GSM Arena reported.
Phone Arena added, that the HTC Desire 728 will sport a 5.5-inch 720p display, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 chipset and a 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 5MP front-facing and a 13MP rear camera, and a 2,800mAh battery.
The HTC Desire 728 has been reportedly a China exclusive, while the HTC Desire 828w might get a release date outside its homeland.
