'Tokyo Ghoul' Season 3 Release Date Happening After 'Tokyo Ghoul: Jack'? Possible Spoilers Discussed

While many feel that there's a slim chance for "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date, reports suggest that there is still hope that the follow-up season to the anime adaptation of the hit manga is going to happen.

Although it's most probably not going to happen in the near future, it's been speculated that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 would most likely going to be launch following the upcoming "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack," the prequel to the anime franchise.

While a June release date for "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack" did not came true as opposed to Anime News Network's previous report, it has been said that the anime will be released this fall.

"During an event on Sunday, theTokyo Ghoul anime cast presented a new promotional video for the original video anime (OVA) ofSui Ishida'sTokyo Ghoul: Jack prequel spinoff manga. They also announced that the new anime will debut this fall," Anime News Network updated in a separate article.

Below is the synopsis to "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack"

"In 'Tokyo Ghoul: Jack,' an incident involving a human-devouring Ghoul occurs in Tokyo's 13th Ward. To seek the truth behind what happened to his friend, the rebellious high school boy Taishi Fura pursues the Ghoul named Lantern with the young ace investigator Kishō Arima. The story follows how the ace investigator Arima and the talented 7th Ward investigator Taishi Fura first met."

And since "Tokyo Ghoul: Jack" is going to happen this year, speculations soon arise that "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 is going to hit the tubes probably next year.

And while creator Sui Ishida has yet to comment on the said release date speculations, the plot to the series is reportedly going to adapt that of the manga titled, "Tokyo Ghoul: re."

Whether "Tokyo Ghoul" season 3 release date will happen this year or the next, the plot is reportedly going to adapt that of the manga series titled, "Tokyo Ghoul:re."

Quoting When-will.net, Kpopstarz reported that the second season will revolve around Haise Sasaki's adventure leading that Quinx Squad.

"the story will revolve around Kaneki who is now an amnesiac and is now known as Haise Sasaki, a rank 1 investigator and the leader of a special unit of investigators at the Commission of Counter Ghoul called Quinx Squad. All the members of that unit underwent similar surgeries as him, allowing them to obtain the special abilities of ghouls in order to fight them, but still being able to live as normal humans."

"Tokyo Ghoul" is a famous suspense-horror fantasy manga series created by Sui Ishida.

The story follows the like of Ken Kaneki and Rize Kamishiro as they battled zombie (ghouls) infested city of Tokyo.
