'NBA 2K16' Release Date To Bring About Big Changes! Michael Jordan Special Edition Avaible In Pre-Orders

| By

While fans are waiting for 2K Sports' big announcement on "NBA 2K16" release date, reports suggest that that the giant gaming studio is about to bring big changes to the basketball-themed game.

Coming this fall, "NBA 2K16" is reportedly going to include a "Pro-Am" feature to the MyPlayer mode for full customizable feature that will result in a better gaming experience, Bleacher Report claimed.

This mode will reportedly allow players to customize jerseys, arenas and logos while competing online with other teams.

"Pro-Am is a new mode for MyPLAYERs in NBA 2K16," the official statement said. "Grab your friends, design your own logos, jerseys and arenas for full branding of your team. After your identity has been stamped, rise up the leaderboards with your team to compete against the best in the world in five-on-five matches on full-sized courts with NBA rules in a venue that supports 40 players playing simultaneously."

Furthermore, according to Denver Post vice president of sports development at Visual Concepts Jeff Thomas revealed that director Spike Lee would most likely bring a whole new aspect to the game's story.

"It wasn't a hard sell," Thomas revealed. "Spike was really receptive when I first met with him. He actually said to us, 'It's about time I worked with 2K.' He loves basketball, and this is a new frontier for him."

"We make an E-rated game," Thomas talked about the game being available for all ages. "It's an NBA licensed project and obviously the NBA cares a lot about their brand and makes sure we stick within those boundaries. Spike understood that from the get-go, but he didn't take his foot off the gas because of that. He still brought the drama."

And while the new upgrade for "NBA 2K16" will bring fans at the edge of their seats, an amazing bonus feature will be given as sort of an additional gift for players who pre-ordered the game.

Major Nelson revealed that 2K Sports has already started to accept pre-orders that would also feature an "Early Tipoff Weekend."

The said bonus for pre-orders include 35,000 VC for "NBA 2K15," 10,000 for "NBA 2K16" and a MyTEAM VIP complete Emerald packs guaranteed with an Emerald player.

2K Sports will also be including a limited Michael Jordan Special Edition cover set which would "include 'NBA 2K16' and additional in game rewards: Digital Jordan shoes for your MyPLAYER; Jordan T-shirt for your MyPLAYER; Jordan Jersey for your MyPLAYER; 30,000 Virtual Currency; MyTEAM VIP+ Packs, featuring 3 Emerald Packs AND a new Special Edition Exclusive Moments Card."

"NBA 2K16" is available for pre-orders, which will arrive on Sept. 25 while the actual release is happening on Sept. 29.
