As fans patiently wait for "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date, new possible update about the arcade has been reported.
Apparently, Bandai Namco is thinking of featuring an online version to the hit classic fighting arcade game.
According to Latino Post, Katsuhiro Harada is still focused on developing more features for "Tekken 7" arcade version before going into PS4 and Xbox One release date development.
In line with this upcoming development is the said online version, which will most likely happen depending on fans' demand.
"Harada noted that 'Tekken 7' arcade machine availability on other arcades would depend on the arcade operators as to whether they want to invest in the machines and join the local tests for 'Tekken 7,'" the article said. "Harada also confirmed that the addition of online play for the arcade versions of 'Tekken 7' in America could be added if enough people demanded for it."
And while Christian Today's report claiming that a "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One release date could be announced during EVO 2015 happening on July 17 to 19 did not come true, fans are still hoping that the launch will happen in the near future.
And while fans are still waiting for the big announcement, Game Spot reported that the new released characters, which include Gigas, Josie Rizal, Shaheen, Lucky Chloe, Katarin and Claudio will be having more upgrades.
Silicon Era added that director Katsuhiro Harada claimed that there will be more characters to be released in the future, probably just in time for the "Tekken 7" PS4 and Xbox One launch.
"By the way, currently, we have four new characters, but later on we'll continue to add them through updates, so look forward to it," Harada said. "We don't plan on reducing the number of characters, so yes, we're thinking of adding more."
In line with the release date news, "Tekken 7" is reportedly going to run on Unreal Engine 4 when it's reaches PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
"With Unreal Engine 4, we can rapidly achieve visual quality expected on next-gen platforms and go beyond it," Harada told Unreal Engine. "Not only is Unreal Engine 4 powerful and easy to use, but it also allows us to bring 'Tekken 7' to any platform we desire."
