Hawkgirl Is Not Strong In 'Legends Of Tomorrow', Says Cast Member Ciara Renee

| By

The fact that Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl barely appeared in "The Flash" finale makes her the most mysterious character in upcoming superhero TV series "Legends of Tomorrow."

It is also worth noting that this will be the first time the DC Comics character will appear in a live action project. "Legends of Tomorrow" cast Ciara Renee is both excited and nervous to play this character and she is also aware of the pressure in her shoulder.

Fans should go easy on one of the youngest "Legends of Tomorrow" cast. If in the comics Hawkgirl is known as a strong woman, she will start in the CW TV series almost powerless.

"Here's the first thing you need to know: She does not know she's Hawkgirl the next time we see her, which will be on The Flash," Entertainment Weekly's Natalie Abrams wrote, following it up with a quote from "Legends of Tomorrow" cast Ciara Renee.

"She's not bold, she's not strong," she adds. "It's a dichotomy of someone who is awkward and all of a sudden she has this huge power and strength and she'll have to reconcile that within herself."

However, she assured that people will see the real Hawkgirl they grew up watching and dating.

"You have to keep in mind there were these other humans you were at some point," she says. "We're going to be able to dive into those other humans, which is cool, with the whole time travel thing."

Other "Legends of Tomorrow" cast and character members are Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm, Caity Lotz as Sarah Lance/White Canary, and Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter.

"Legends of Tomorrow" synopsis:

"When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"
