Former U.S. president George H.W. Bush, after being hospitalized for a neck injury is now on his way to full recovery as he tweets a photo showing his neck brace while revealing a two thumbs-up.
This photo posted on his official Twitter account at least gave those concerned a huge sigh of relief.
Jordan Muto of Today News reported former president George H.W. Brush giving two thumbs up just two weeks after being hospitalized for reportedly breaking his neck vertebrae at his home in Maine.
"Who knew jumping out of planes was safer than getting out of bed?" George H.W. Bush tweeted his recovery after being hospitalized. "Thanks to all for your kind get-well messages."
As of press time, the photo tweet has been re-tweeted almost 6,000 times and favorited around 10,000 times.
In another report by CBS News, George H.W. Bush was hospitalized after the incident forfour days. He may have broken some bone, but the report said he did not suffer nerve damage and full recovery can be expected in three to four months.
The similar report recalled George H.W. Bush's other medical challenges such as being hospitalized last December because of shortness of breath.
But the former president, whose age is only less than a decade before a full 100, is strong than ever. CBS News said he can be a daredevil despite old age as he has reportedly gone skydiving - an extreme sport - on at least three birthdays since he finished his term. On his 90th birthday, he reportedly even made a tandem jump.
George H.W. Bush, despite being hospitalized for many times has shown strength both in health and in politics. He is the oldest former U.S. president still alive, CBS News noted.
Before being proclaimed 41st president back in 1988, he served two terms as the vice president of Ronald Reagan. One of the most memorable achievements during his term was winning the 1991 Gulf War in Kuwait but he lost to Bill Clinton.
The report added that he once served a naval aviator during the Second World War and "was shot down over the Pacific."
