Twins Give Birth the Same Day, Hours Apart

| By

Twins give birth the same day in Ohio recently even thought their due dates were a week apart.

Ashlee Nelson and Aimee Nelson both gave birth to baby boys on New Year's Eve. The 19-year-old twins had due dates that were a week apart, but their babies ended up arriving on the same day.

They named their new bundles of joy Donavyn and Aiden. The babies were born about two hours apart.

According to Ohio.com, the twins gave birth on the same day but about two hours apart.

"Donavyn will get bragging rights as the older cousin. The son of Aimee Nelson, 19, and Matthew Bratten, 20, of Kenmore, arrived at 12:11 p.m. Monday. He weighed 7 pounds, 2½ ounces and measured 21 inches long ... Aiden will get bragging rights as the larger cousin. Arriving at 2:03 p.m., the son of Ashlee Nelson, 19, and Cody Dilts, 22, of Wadsworth, weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 22½ inches long."

They were delivered by the same doctor at Summa Akron City Hospital.

New grandma Farson says the past couple months of her daughters' pregnancies have helped prepare her for impending sleepless nights. "I would get a whiny phone call in the middle of the night [from one daughter] and I would hang the phone up and literally five minutes later I would have the other one crying," she recalls.
