Portia Doubleday's Angela Moss is making her moves to bring down the company that is behind all her grievances.
In the latest "Mr. Robot" episode this week, she asked his childhood friend Elliot (Rami Malek) for support and to her delight, she got the encouragement that she needs.
Before all of this, audiences saw Angela as someone who needs to be guided and can't get the job done without the help others.
In the next "Mr. Robot" episodes, Angela will work harder to erase that perception and Portia Doubleday warns, do not belittle her capabilities.
"She should not be underestimated. I think you're slowly starting to see her morph into a self-actualized person," the "Mr. Robot" cast said in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter.
"Especially after realizing that even when she comes home, she cannot get away from the fact that this company - you find out in episode three - basically murdered her mother and murdered Elliot's father. That's a huge catalyst for the events that transpire for both characters and I think what links them. Their paths are actually a lot more linear than it would seem."
Doubleday also said Angela will be out for respect.
"They just deal with the mission of redemption in two completely different ways. I think at that crossroads, after she finds out that even her father is now drowning in debt from the company that she was working to protect, that there's no safe haven for her. ... She realizes from this point forward, she has to do whatever it takes in order to gain that respect and that power, which is going to pose a lot of more moral questions. .... You see a change in her perception that is very unpredictable."
The next "Mr. Robot" episode is called "eps1.6_v1ew-s0urce.flv" and will air on August 5. Aside from Malek and Doubleday, other "Mr. Robot" cast members are Christian Slater as Mr. Robot who recruited Elliot to Fsociety, Carly Chaikin as Darlene, and Martin Wallström as Tyrell Wellick.
