Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are again facing one of the toughest times of their life.
The couple recently lost their dog Buddy, who they treat as their own baby. According to TMZ, the white canine was killed by a coyote wandering in the backyard of their Los Angeles home.
The 22-year-old singer was the one who discovered the tragic death of their dog. Because of the unfortunate incident, she was forced to cancel her appearance in "Good Morning America" on Thursday.
The "Really Don't Care" hitmaker made the announcement on Twitter.
"We are absolutely heartbroken to be writing this but Wilmer and I are devastated to inform you that we lost our little angel Buddy last Sunday," Demi wrote. "He was taken from us way too soon in a tragic accident and though I will never know why this had to happen, I do know that God only puts us through situations that we can handle so with that, together we our staying strong."
Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama also thanked the people who supported them and asked for privacy as they continue to mourn for the death of their dog.
"We will never forget our baby boy Buddy and his gentle loving spirit will live on in our hearts forever. RIP my tiniest little nightingale, Buddy," she ended her message.
The former Nickelodeon star made an account for Buddy on Instagram. She has changed the dog's profile to, "#RIPBuddy A white ball of fluff with a big heart" and shared her last photo with her cute dog.
Buddy was Wilmer's gift to Demi on Christmas since the actor is a dog lover as well. He recently shared a photo of his furry friend on Instagram and captioned it,
"A moment of reflection for how HANDSOME my son Spawn is... And weezy of course (Spawn's mini me)."
Having faced many trials in the past, Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama will again prove to everyone that their love can conquer everything including the death of their much-loved dog Buddy.
