‘The Originals’ Season 3 Will Bring Back Kol! Who Else Is Coming To New Orleans?

| By

Will Davina's efforts to bring back her dead boyfriend pay off? Nathaniel Buzolic himself confirmed to TVLine that his character, Kol will be coming back in "The Originals" season 3, but not as his originals self just yet!

Although fans of the CW show loved having Daniel Sharman around as the witch version of the playful Mikaelson sibling, several followers wanted more of Buzolic. He was introduced as Kol in "The Vampire Diaries" but was killed off, later appearing in the spinoff for flashbacks.

"From what I understand, this is going to be a flashback-heavy season, which is cool, because it means there's more opportunity for Kol to come back and you can see more of him," he reportedly told TVLine.

Executive producer Julie Plec already promised fans at the San Diego Comic Con that the mischievous Mikaelson sibling will be making his long-awaited return in "The Originals" season 3!

Unfortunately, Buzolic won't be able to commit full time to the series since he will also be appearing in the new comedy "Significant Mother."

Meanwhile, Buzolic won't be the only to look forward to this fall. According to past reports, at least three new characters will be joining the cast!

"Veronica Mars" alum Jason Dohring is going to play justice-seeking detective, Will Kinney. He might not know anything about the supernatural happenings around him yet but he will reportedly get a "strong suspicion that something strange is happening beneath the surface of the city."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "The Pacific" star Andrew Lees and "Pretty Little Liars" actress Rebecca Breeds landed recurring roles in the series as well.

Lees will reportedly play Lucien, while Breeds will be portraying Aurora. MTV described the vampires as having some "seeeecret secret plans for Klaus." What these plans are exactly is still unknown.

There will be "love triangles, catfighting, ancient grudge matches" as well as a possible werewolf sex scene that David Gillies (who plays Elijah) admitted he would be game for "if it was required."

Can't wait to watch the show? Catch "The Originals" season 3 on The CW on Oct. 8, 9 PM.
