No Guns N' Roses New Album As The Band Is Rumored To Have Broken Up After Confirming Hiatus

| By

While fans are expecting to hear a new album from Guns N' Roses, the band has confirmed that they are actually on hiatus.

After remaining active in the music industry for the past three decades, Guns N' Roses has reportedly decided to take a break. The decision immediately made loyal fans of the band worry thinking that they've decided to call quits.

In an interview with Las Vegas Sun, while confirming that the band is indeed on a hiatus, DJ Ashba clarified that they have not broken up and they just decided to take a break from all the tours they've been through in the past six years.

"Ever since I joined G N'R six years ago, it's almost been non-stop touring. But we've kind of talked of more touring, and I'm looking at this more as a hiatus than the end," he told the Las Vegas Sun

Guns N' Roses frontman, Axl Rose had previously announced that they are not going to do any tours for the meantime, but assured fans that they are still working something out to keep the band active. Perhaps a new album?

"I don't think there's gonna be any touring soon, he admitted via an excerpt from Blabber Mouth. "We have been working on material. And that sort of starts and stops, but we're still plugging away at it."

In his efforts to defend his bandmate, Richard Fortus explained why the band has decided to stop touring for the meantime.

"I've worked with a lot of people in this business, and I've never seen, or met, anybody that was motivatd purely by that - by the desire to make art," he explained on the podcast.

"And you can say whatever you want about it, 'cause he's not gonna defend himself, but he is that, and that's for sure. Otherwise, there would have been a reunion, because the offers for money have been outrageous. But he would never do a reunion unless it was for something besides money."
