Wealth intelligence provider Wealth-X has unveiled the list of the richest couples in the world and the number one spot is occupied by a couple that reportedly has a combined net worth greater than the economy of Bulgaria.
Mirror.co.uk echoed the list and reported details of the richest couples in the world in terms of combined net worth. Second on the list is the Spanish business mogul behind fashion house Zara Amancio Ortega Gaona, along with his wife Flora Perez.
Their combined net worth is reportedly at $70.7 billion.
On the number three spot is investor Warren Buffet, the investor often quoted by aspiring millionaires and who once sold chewing gum in his neighborhood according to Mirror. He enjoys the combined net worth of $65 billion with his wife Astrid Menks.
Claiming the fourth spot are American businessman David Koch and wife Julia Koch, who have a combined net worth of $47.5 billion.
If you are asking where Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is as the man who frequently lands on Forbes lists, he is also on the list with his wife Priscilla Chan. According to the list of the richest couples in the world, this couple on the ninth place have a combined net worth of $38.5 billion.
"When setting out as an entrepreneur, it is vital to have the ambition to be the next global success story," Jenny Tooth, chief executive of the UK Business Angels Association, said in the Mirror report.
The list of the richest couples in the world has six out of ten who are self-made, and half of these made money from the tech industry, such as Zuckerberg.
Two couples from the Koch family reportedly made it mainly because of family's wealth.
Completing the list are couples Charles and Elizabeth Koch ($47.4 billion), Wang Jianlin and Lin Ning ($40.7 billion), Jeff and Mackenzie Bezos ($39.8 billion), Bernard Arnault and Helene Mercier ($38.7 billion), and James and Lynne Walton ($36.2 billion).

Topping the list are Bill and Melinda Gates as the richest couple in the world, with a combined net worth of $85.7 billion and according to reports, they have more money than the Bulgarian economy.
Bill Gates co-founded Microsoft in 1975 and married Melinda in 1994.
