Google Glass' new version have yet to hit the market but specs and features of the device have allegedly leaked.
The "Enterprise Edition" is said to be waterproof, foldable and even more durable, "built to withstand normal drops and bumps."
After the huge fail of its predecessor, with some Glass units pulled out in January due to poor sales and continued complaints from users on eye strain after prolonged use, Google Glass' new version is back with the vengeance.
The next generation will be called "Google Glass 2.0" developed under the name "Enterprise Edition" reports say.
Considered a spinoff of the Explorer Edition, Google Glass 2.0 will have almost the same design but not quite -- the new spectacle will have a larger display, to help prevent eye strain.
According to 9to5Google, "It has all of the computer hardware along the right side just as XE did, and a prism that sits in front of the right eye. The device, similar to the Explorer Edition, has a band that stretches around the forehead, going back around the left ear."
It will also have hinges, allowing its computer modules and the battery to fold down, much like a regular pair of sunglasses.
Google's upcoming offering will also be waterproof, thanks to a more compact design with less places where water could penetrate.
Aesthetically, Google had made it a point for the device to be something anyone, anywhere could wear -- the office, the library, even construction sites -- and less like something you'd see in a tech-themed high-fashion runway.
For better battery life, the smart glass will have an Intel Atom processor. Papers filed by Google last month under the name "GG1," which is said to stand for "Google Glass 1," also suggests that the device will be WiFi and Bluetooth capable.
Although the Explorer Edition only has two buttons (power button and camera button), reports say that Google Glass' new version would have even less!
Overall, the spectacles will focus more on functionality rather than fashion. And while Google Glass fans might be ready to get their hands on the new device, they might have to wait a little longer.
Google Glass 2.0 Enterprise Edition is rumored to be released by the end of 2015.
