"Be Our Guest," one of the favorite songs on the classic animated feature "Beauty and the Beast," getting a remix as Disney Channel premieres "Descendants" movie this Friday.
The song was formerly sung by actor Jerry Orbach who played the enchanted candle Lumiere, and actress Angela Lansbury as the voice behind the enchanted teapot Mrs. Potts. Alan Menken composed the song, while Howard Ashman wrote the lyrics.
As Disney's much-awaited "Descendants" movie begins this Friday, the song will once again make viewers dance to its beats - now added with rap rhythms and sung not by enchanted glass wares but by the movie characters themselves.
The remake of "Be Our Guest" is mostly sung by 19-year-old Mitchell Hope, the actor behind the new character of Ben or Prince Benjamin, the son of King Beast and Queen Belle.
The remix, as seen on the video released by Entertainment Weekly, is performed while the castle King Beast and Queen Belle run holds what appears to be "Family Day," inviting guests from all over the kingdom.
Taking place in a land called Auradon, the story of Disney's "Descendants" movie will revolve around a group of teenagers who have "descended" from the famous villains such as Cruella de Vil, Maleficent and the Evil Queen. The children of the villains are "booted out" from the kingdom and now live in a separate neighborhood.
The first six minutes preview of Disney's "Descendants" movie has already revealed King Beast and Queen Belle. King Beast now has transformed into a lovable dad and Queen Belle dons a short hair in her motherhood.
"You decided to marry me at 28," Queen Belle tells her husband in the preview video, as Ben is getting fitted for clothes.
"It was either you or a teapot," King Beast replies, winking.
Franchise Herald reported Maleficent daughter's Mal is played by "Liv and Maddie" star Dove Cameron. Also in the cast are Sofia Carson as the Evil Queen's daughter Evie, Cameron Boyce as Cruella De Vil's son Carlos, and Booboo Stewart as Jafar's son Jay.
