Michael Fassbender All Set For 'Assassin's Creed' Movie Shooting After Ubisoft Reveals Official Release Date

After months of waiting, Michael Fassbender will finally get to start filming the highly anticipated movie adaptation of "Assassin's Creed."

The movie is reportedly going to start production in September, with the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" all ready for his role.

According to Game Spot, the 38-year-old German-Irish actor, who is also up to portray Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic for the Apple founder, has already read the script for "Assassin's Creed," expressing his excitement for the the film.

"You say it's a long time, but what I've found - it's all new to me, but starting to develop scripts and work on them, they take time," Fassbender claimed.

Furthermore, he also confirmed that the movie is indeed going to start production this September.

"It just takes time to get a good story together and we really want to do it right. It's exciting. It's going to start this year, we'll be filming in September."

But while everything is already all set for the movie to begin shooting, Michael Fassbender confessed in an interview with Movie Pilot that it was not an easy task for them to bring a complicated game to the big screen.

"That's always the challenge of something that's so dense, to really find something and pare it down and basically, there are so many elements to it, so trying to translate that to an audience, you have to pick key things," the actor explained. "So yes, that is part of it, getting through the density of it and paring down and engaging a simple story."

Ubisoft has reportedly revealed "Assassin's Creed" release date when it released an official poster claiming that the film will hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016
