Bruce Willis and David Arquette's new action movie brings together a roster of diverse and brilliant actors -- comedic actors, to be specific.
The "Die Hard" actor hopes to mix action and comedy into one movie, following the success of other police comedy films like "21 Jumpstreet," "22 Jumpstreet" and "Let's Be Cops." To do so, he brings together the perfect cast and director for the film production.
Early on, it was announced that Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis), Famke Janssen (X-Men films), Stephanie Sigman (Miss Bala), Thomas Middleditch (The Wolf of Wallstreet), John Goodman (Monsters Inc.), Adrian Martinez (American Hustle) and Kal Penn (Harold & Kumar) are joining Bruce Willis and David Arquette in the new movie.
Now, surprising reports say rapper Tyga will also be in the movie. Tyga has recently been making headlines due to his roller coaster relationship with "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality star, Kylie Jenner. The 25-year-old rapper is also set to appear in the movie, "Barbershop 3," which will premiere next year.
Ken Davitian (Borat) and Victor Ortiz (The Expendables) are also joining the untitled detective comedy from Voltage pictures.
Bruce Willis and David Arquette's new flick follows the story of a private eye (Willis) whose personal and professional life clashes when a gang steals his dog, the Hollywood Reporter says. Willis gets caught in a couple of scuffles and troubles, chased down by goons, Samoan brothers and other sketchy characters.
The cast had started filming last month in Venice Beach, under the direction of Rob and Mark Cullen, who also writes the movie. Both are known for writing another police comedy movie, "Cop Out," in which Willis also starred.
The new movie will be produced by Nicolas Chartier, Zev Foreman and Laura Ford, while Patrick Newall, Jonathan Deckter, and Stephen Eads are the executive producers.
