'Gotham' Season 2 Spoiler: Arkham Asylum Will Have A New Surprising Detainee

| By

Television's Gotham city will be pestered by more villains. "Gotham" season 2 spoilers revealed much more and much worse bad guys are set to arrive Bruce Wayne's beloved city and it includes Dr. Freeze, Mad Hatter, Tigress, and more.

This means a busier life for Det. Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie). This is definitely a big challenge for the hardest working police officer but his problems won't end on the streets.

Once he leaves the streets, he will have to deal with the craziness of her former wife Barbara Gordon.

Barbara, who Erin Richards portrays, had some mental issues in the first season and she will not get any better in the show's sophomore run.

Entertainment Weekly's recent "Gotham" season 2 spoiler revealed Barbara will be admitted to the Arkham Asylum and of course, it will be hell for her.

"If you thought Barbara killing her parents was bad, it's only the beginning," EW wrote in its "Gotham" season 2 spoiler, following it up with a quote from Richards herself.

"That moment where she kills her parents is the moment she sets herself completely free from every tie she ever had - her ties to Jim, to society, or maybe even sanity, you could argue," Erin Richards says.

The EW report added Barbara is headed to Arkham in episode 1, where she will encounter "this band of emerging villains who shape who she's going to be in this series."

Before this scoop from EW, McKenzie said in an interview with Comicbook.com his character's love life will be more chaotic than the first season.

"Obviously, Barabara has gone from loving partner to psychotice ex-girlfriend. And she only gets crazier in season two," McKenzie said.

"That puts a strain on Jim's relationship with Lesie Thompkins, and Leslie is one of the few people Jim has to confide in. But as she watches Jim turn darker, she starts to question her own belief in the man. Her own love for him-can it withstand the turn he's making? And can Jim turn back before it's too late? It's a nice noir, mature relationship, with two people struggling to survive while being good to themselves."

"Gotham" season 2 release date is September 21.
