Game developer Square Enix announced that the "Rise of The Tomb Raider" Xbox game is coming to PC in early 2016, and PS4 in Holiday 2016.
The game was initially announced as an Xbox exclusive in August, but Microsoft's Phil Spencer clarified that the deal was actually a timed deal and said that he didn't buy the IP in perpetuity, Ars Technica wrote.
"Square Enix today announced its latest title in the critically acclaimed and award-winning Tomb Raider series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, will be available for Steam and Windows 10 PC in early 2016. The game will be a console exclusive to Xbox One and Xbox 360 for one year after its initial launch, coming to PlayStation 4 Holiday 2016," a post on the official Tomb Raider blog on Thursday according to Attack of the Fanboy.
"Renowned developer Crystal Dynamics, a Square Enix studio, is leading development in the latest entry in the iconic series for additional platforms," the blog added.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" release on Xbox consoles are set on November 2015.
"The game picks up after the traumatic events ofthe 2013 game, and sees Lara looking for meaning after a cover-up obscures the horrors she endured on Yamatai Island. Drawn to Siberia in search of the mythical city of Kitezh, she becomes obsessed with proving the existence of the world's darkest secrets, and exposing the sinister Trinity corporation acting to keep them locked away," Wired described its gameplay.
Square Enix has been also reportedly releasing its "Dragon Quest of the Stars" as a free-to-play game for both Android and ios devices which will be launched next week.
While as for the "Final Fantasy VII" remake, it was announced at E3 that both Xbox One and PS4 consoles will get a version of the game, but the latter will get an earlier access.
