Cody Walker scored his first movie role after standing-in last year for his late brother, Paul Walker's unfilmed scenes in the blockbuster hit, "Fast and Furious 7."
Paul Walker died in a car crash on Nov. 30, 2013, leaving his co-stars, friends, family and fans stunned by his sudden death.
Despite his death, filming for the "Fast and Furious" franchise had to go on but without Paul, it seemed impossible. Until his brothers Cody and Caleb stood-in for Paul and helped the production team film the rest of the movie. Coupled with changes in the script, CGI and body doubles, the whole film was completed.
Back in April, Cody Walker expressed his apprehension over how Paul's fans would react to him being in the film, E! Online Reports.
"To be honest, I'm a little nervous to see the completed project from an emotional standpoint. I know it's going to be very emotional. So far, from what I've heard and seen, I think Paul would be proud," Cody said.
Perhaps his apprehensions are gone because now, Cody Walker's acting career is budding as he lands his first movie role entitled "USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage." He even shared a couple of Instagram photos while on the film set.
The 27-year-old has been cast for a major supporting role, working alongside Nicholas Cage, who plays the role of Captain Charles McVay, a commander who tries his hardest to bring his men safely through a secret mission. Tom Sizemore and Thomas Jane will also star in the action flick.
"USS Indianapolis" is based on a true story revolving around the crew of the said ship who were stranded in the Philippine Sea for almost a week after delivering atomic bombs that would eventually end the World War II, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The said film is directed by Mario Van Peebles and produced by Michale Mendelsohn and Richard Rionda Del Castro under Patriot Pictures.
