"Legends of Tomorrow" release date is yet to be revealed. According to CW, the show will likely debut by early 2016.
Many comic book fans are excited for this new superhero series featuring a diverse group of comic book characters.
It is not just fans who cannot wait for the show to come, even its cast members, particularly Arthur Danvill who will play Rip Hunter.
Talking to Entertainment Weekly, Danvill, who was also part of time-travelling series "Doctor Who" said he is already doing intense research for his role in "Legends of Tomorrow."
This includes reading comic books and sitting down with writers and producers.
He, too, is excited for "Legends of Tomorrow" release date but he has a different reason. He wants the show to start now so he can kick ass for once.
"There are elements to his character that are really intriguing, and I think you're going to be surprised by him," the "Legends of Tomorrow" cast said in the interview.
"And the physical stuff, I want to do as many of the stunts as possible, and I'd like to do a bit of fighting. I've been beaten up a few times but never managed to be the beater! [Laughs] It's not in my nature ... Rip Hunter makes things happen rather than reacts to things that are happening, and that's a big thing. That was the main reason I wanted the job. He has a certain swagger, like in the trailer, he walks into a room and people listen to him. I don't know if that happens to me in real life. [Pauses] No, I don't think it does. [Laughs]"
"Legends of Tomorrow" release date is currently put on hold with the shows where it was spun from - "The Flash" and "Arrow" - set to return this fall. Although LoT's characters were pulled straight from the two shows, showrunner claimed his show's format is different. "Legends of Tomorrow" is an anthology that has new story each season.
Aside from Darvill, other "Legends of Tomorrow" cast members are Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Victor Garber as Dr. Martin Stein/Firestorm, Caity Lotz as Sarah Lance/White Canary, and Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl.
