Bette Midler is rumored to be among the many celebrities being considered for guest spots on upcoming episodes of Glee, according to Access Hollywood.
Bette Midler is excited at the prospect of following the likes of Britney Spears and Gwyneth Paltrow by guesting on the show and has urged its creator Ryan Murphy to get in touch with her.
"I don't know [when I'll be on]. [Ryan Murphy] never called me," she told Access Hollywood. "He mentioned it, but? I'm still waiting for the call. But, it's fine!"
The 67-year-old star might not be fully signed up for the series yet, but she's already got an idea of the character she'd like to play.
In the meantime, Bette Midler can be found alongside Billy Crystal in director Andy Fickman's comedy Parental Guidance. The film, which also stars Marisa Tomei and Tom Everett Scott, is presently slated to hit theaters on December 25.
Ryan took to Twitter after the event to talk about his excitement. He explained he was hard at work coming up with a possible role for Bette, prompting her to use the social networking website to suggest she portray one of Rachel Berry's grandmothers.
