Xiaomi, Uber Collaboration: Mi Note Pro Will Be Delivered Straight To Your Home Within Minutes!

| By

Xiaomi and Uber have recently announced their tie-up which gives Xiaomi fans a new convenient way to shop a new Mi Note Pro online.

Customers in Singapore and Malaysia can now order their Mi Note Pro via the Uber app. The process is simple, prospect buyers who have an existing Uber account simply open the app and using a slider at the botton of the screen to select Xiaomi, Forbes reported.

"Ordering a Mi Note follows the exact same process as calling for an Uber - you simply open the Uber app, use the slider at the bottom to select 'Xiaomi' (which shows Xiaomi-orange colored Uber cars on the map equipped to deliver the new smartphone), and hit request," Xiaomi international chief Hugo Barra said in a post on Facebook.

"Payment will be charged directly to the credit card tied to your Uber account and a Mi Note will be delivered to you within a few minutes. Pretty cool, right?"

Xiaomi also claims that customer may receive the phone within minutes upon placement of order, Forbed added.

CNET noted that this service will only be available in Malaysia's capital-Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and only a limited number of Mi Note phones be offered for the Xiaomi and Uber collaboration.

The Xiaomi logo will appear on July 27 on the Uber app, a day before online sales begin.

Meanwhile, Uber has been reportedly "experimenting with delivering various types of goods", Recode wrote.

"The power of the on-demand economy is transforming the consumer experience, and we are excited to take this to another level in Southeast Asia," Uber regional general manager Mike Brown said.

Aside from Xiaomi's expansion, the Chinese tech firm celebrates its first year in India and unveiled the Xioami Mi 4i 32GB variant along with Mi Headphones and Mi In-ear head gear. (via IB Times)
