Huawei launched its latest entry-level Huawei Honor 4A in China.
The Huawei Honor4A packs a 5-inch 720p screen display and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 clocked at 1.1GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and an 8GB of RAM.
In addition, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop fresh out of the box with Huawei's very own Emotions UI 3.1 on top and a 2,200mAh battery.
As for its price, it costs under $100 for the 3G-only variant while the 4G LTE version will be retailed for CNY 699 which translates to $112, GSM Arena reported.
Phone Arena added that it is still unclear if the smartphone will get a release outside its homeland.
Moreover, Huawei is set to unveil another flagship device at the IFA 2015 in Berlin.
According to Phone Arena, Huawei will keep its Quad HD resolution on its flagship device, and will be powered by the unannounced HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset. While Android Authority added that the chipset will have an octa-core processor which is divided into quad cores of Cortex A72 and quad cores of Cortex A53 clocked at 2.4 GHz. It is also accompanied by an ARM Mali-T80 GPU.
The Huawei Mate 8 will be released in two storage options of 32GB and 64GB, and supported by 3GB and 4GB of RAM respectively. IB Times reported.
Additional features include dual-sim support and a fingerprint scanner. Camera-wise, it will sport a 20.7 MP rear shooter and an 8MP front snapper.
Aside from the newest addition to its smartphones line-up, the Chinese phone manufacturer is also rumored to unveil its first smartwatch on the said event as live photos of the upcoming device recently made its round.
"In terms of watch packaging, this looks pretty solid. The exterior looks like a faux leather, which oozes luxury. Inside, we have more faux leather, this time in white, with two golden pegs sitting on each side of the device. The central piece you see inside can be lifted, allowing you to take the watch in and out of the packaging," Droid Life wrote.
