It seems like Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift's conflict on Twitter has reached even the deepest part of the Internet. While people - celebrities and fans alike - took sides and defended their idols, Bruno Mars opted to be a part of it instead.
Instead of bashing the two artists involved, he hilariously looked for a different target. Of course, who best to drag into the catfight than Swift's bestie, Ed Sheeran?
"Yo I want in on this twitter Beef!! VMAs is the new WWF!! @edsheeran F*ck You!" the "Uptown Funk" singer posted on his Twitter page.
Sheeran did not disappoint.
"@BrunoMars any way we do dis you gon' come up short," the "Thinking Out Loud" hitmaker replied with his own comical shade to his award-winning friend.
Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran's Twitter banter didn't end there, either. The "When I Was Your Man" singer told the British acoustic star that his statement "cut deep".
"U always know how to sheer me to the core. I can't believe we're Sheeran this in public. How dare u!" he hysterically added.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Sheeran said he had been excited to fight with someone on Twitter.
"I've been wanting to do that for ages with someone but there isn't any one that I know that I can not have to text them to tell them that this is actually a joke," he shared.
With their witty replies, fans would definitely love Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran "feuding" on Twitter.
He defended his best friend as well, calling Minaj's tweet "redundant". He later apologized for his statement, telling Buzzfeed UK that he "said it wrong".
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift became a hot topic on all social media sites ever since the former tweeted her disappointment at not receiving a Video Of The Year nomination for "Anaconda".
Katy Perry joined in on the shade fest with a mention of Swift's "pit women against each other" statement. She even dragged Rihanna into the fray, according to The Guardian. Kim Kardashian, who was reportedly in Paris and was unaware of all the drama, threw some unintentional shade at the "Shake It Off" singer as well.
