Joe Biden was injured after a little bit too much rough-housing with his German Shepherd dog named "Champ."
The Vice President was seen alongside President Barack Obama for an event celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act in the East Room at the White House.
Joe Biden was injured on his right-hand lower lip after playing with his dog but still managed to smile at the audience during the event while he stood next to President Obama.

"Champ" has reportedly been in the Biden family for years. He is ocassionally spotted during events at the president's official residence, the Naval Observatory, the NY Post reports.
According to Politico, the pooch was named by the vice president's grand daughters and is known in the family to be "even-tempered, affectionate and obedient" and "very protective of his home."
"Champ can be found taking walks around the house and checking in with staff and visitors," according to a White House aide. "By the end of the day, he has usually exhausted himself, and can be found curled up on the couch helping Dr. (Jill) Biden grade her papers or at the front door casually greeting and sniffing anyone who enters."
The German Shepherd was also described by the aide as an "early riser" who often encourages the vice president to take a walk before the sun even comes up and will ocassionally join Dr. B for a run."
Prior to Joe Biden's small injury, one even more painful event occurred in the politician's life recently - the death of his eldest son.
Beau Biden, who served 12 years in the National Guard, died on May 30 due to brain cancer. He was previously deployed in Iraq.
During his funeral, Joe Biden escorted his widowed daughter-in-law and grand children as he was laid to rest.
