While it's been widely rumored that Calum Hood has a girlfriend, the 5 Seconds of Summer bassist's recent statement says otherwise.
During their interview with Movie News Guide following the pyrotechnic burn incident that left him and Michael Clifford with minor injuries, Hood revealed that all of them are actually single.
"We all are [single] I believe," Michael announced.
To which Calum added, "We all carry the same flag."
Such statement immediately fueled rumors that Calum Hood has indeed dumped his rumored girlfriend Jennifer Phipps already. Or perhaps the couple never really got into anything serious in the first place.
Kpopstarz reported that Hood's girlfriend rumors have been causing issues with the other 5 Seconds of Summer members.
"Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin have been causing strains in the band relationship with rumors that they are in relationship with Jennifer Phipps and Bryana Holly respectively."
And while, such claim has yet to be proven, could Ashton Irwin also join the band wagon of being single despite claims that Irwin and Holly are reportedly looking serious.
Hollywood Take was able to caught the rumored couple together in Los Angeles.
"New photos show the rumored couple together in Los Angeles... While the new pictures don't show any PDA, the two were clearly enjoying each other's company. They were laughing and smiling as they walked down the West Hollywood street, surrounded by photographers," the publication reported.
However, like Calum Hood and Michael Clifford, Ashton Irwin is instent that he doesn't have a girlfriend, pointing out that his busy schedule has practically made it impossible for him to even think of relationships, his actions say otherwise.
"I don't think we have time for girlfriends," Irwin said in May. "I mean, we like to see people, I guess, if we meet someone really nice and we hang out, but we're not in one spot very often."
