Last week, Turn 10 Studios announced another "Forza Motorsport 6" car list update. Two legendary McLaren race cars from the '60s are headed for the upcoming Xbox One racing game.
Headlining the Week 3 update are the 1969 McLaren #4 McLaren Cars M8B and the 1966 McLaren M2B.
"The M8B was used in 1969 during the Can-Am series, driven by Denny Hulme and Bruce McLaren," GameSpot said.
"Either Hulme or McLaren won every race that year, and the two came in first and second in eight of the eleven races. The car is known as the 'Orange Elephant' due to its orange color."
On the other hand, the M2B was McLaren's first try at an F1 car. The car was first powered by an Indy Ford four-cam 3.0-liter V8 engine but in later versions, it was replaced by a Count Volpi-designed Serenissima V8 engine after the company realized the former is not suited for racing, according to Turn 10.
Joining the two legendary McLaren race cars in last week's "Forza Motorsport 6" car list are 38 other cars.
Also in the update are classic race cars such as the 1976 Ferrari #1 Scuderia Ferrari 312T2, 1976 McLaren #11 Marlboro Team McLaren M23 and the 1966 Chaparral #66 Chaparral Cars 2E.
The Xbox One racing game will also get other vintage cars including the 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 HEMI, 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale, 1988 Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-454 and the 1971 AMC Javelin AMX.
Modern cars are represented by the 2005 Lotus Elise 111S, 1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR, 2004 Saleen S7, 2001 Audi RS 4 Avant and the 1995 Ferrari F50.
Even fast SUVs such as the 2013 Mercedes-BenzG 65 AMG and 2014 Land Rover Range Rover Supercharged are included as well.
These cars join the first announced at E3 and the Week 1 and Week 2 updates made earlier. More updates are expected to come in the weeks leading up to the racing game's September 15 release date.
