After Square Enix failed to announce the official release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" at E3 2015, there's an ongoing speculation claiming that it will finally happen at D23 Expo on Aug. 16.
While the reports have yet to be verified IGN reported that Square Enix will most likely present "never-before-seen gameplay, trailers, new reveals, and surprises from Disney Interactive's most anticipated games," including "Kingdom Hearts 3."
In line with the release date news, "Kingdom Hearts 3" director Tetsuya Nomura shared details about its gameplay.
"In addition to the Keyblade transformations for Sora, it becomes possible to maneuver using specific forms and actions. There will be many battle choices," he told Kingdom Hearts Insider.
"Take whatever strategy, it will be up to the player. Of course, for those who button mash will have an exhilarating experience but for those who want technical fights will also find fun making combinations."
The highly anticipated Disney characters-themed game has reportedly left Luminous and jumped to Unreal Engine 4.
"The technology is moving forward a lot," the game designer explained of the switch from Luminous to Unreal Engine according toEurogamer. "That's something we've learned from the West, I think, in a big way. We're using Unreal Engine 4 right now, and that really has changed the way we make the game."
Moreover, the game will reportedly include characters from "Star Wars" and "Marvel" movie.
And if Square Enix fail to do so, Motoring Crunch is confident that it will at least feature weapons from "Star Wars" and "Marvel" characters instead.
"Even if the likes of Captain America and Obi Wan Kenobi don't make it into Kingdom Hearts 3, we feel that Square Enix might introduce the weapons from the aforementioned worlds," the gaming publication mentioned.
Adding that Sora would "get the ability to wield a light saber," while Goofy could be getting added boost in its defense with the help of Captain America's shield.
In his efforts to bring interesting news about "Kingdom Hearts 3," Nomura teased that they will soon reveal details about the game.
"We have some interesting things planned," Tetsuya Nomura explained. "There will be Kingdom Hearts 3 news, and various things, I think. Development on Kingdom Hearts 3 is going smoothly, but there will also be new announcements connected to it. As one of those new announcements, I think we should be able to announce a smartphone-specific development for the series in short order."
