Vin Diesel Confirmed To Return In 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage?' 'Furious 7' Star Excited

While there's no official announcement yet, Vin Diesel has already confirmed his return to "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

The 48-year-old actor, who recently celebrated his birthday is set to reprise his role as a secret agent in the spy action-themed franchise.

"I am going to do the next 'xXx' which will be filming in part in the Philippines, which I'm very, very, very excited about," Diesel said in an interview with Collider.

It's expected that Vin Diesel would most likely going to start shooting "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" in the near future after claiming that he'll be working on the film following "Kojac," which is still in its early stages of development.

But before that he will first be seen in "The Last Witch Hunter" on Oct. 23 with Michael Caine and "Game of Thrones" star Rose Leslie.

The "Furious 7" star first appeared in "xXx" movie back in 2002, however, he left the franchise after that with Ice Cube taking over the sequel titled "xXx: State of the Union."

His absence in the sequel was explained through a DVD short film titled, "The Final Chapter: The Death of Xander Cage," which was released as an extra to the first movie.

In 2008, Vin Diesel surprised fans when he announced that he's definitely returning to the franchise.

While earlier in 2014, he revealed that a plot is being written for "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

In its efforts to greet Vin Diesel on his 48th birthday, Comic Book confirmed the news that the "Furious 7" star is indeed going to reprise his role in "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage."

"His 25 years on the big screen involve some of the world's largest film franchises, especially the Fast & Furious franchise which has raced to seven installments (the most recent among the top 10 highest grossing films ever) and has an eighth in pre-production. He'll also be revisiting the xXx franchise, where he played Xander Cage in 2002, when xXx The Return of Xander Cage begins production," the publication wrote.
