| By

While there hasn't been an official announcement yet, Naughty Dog's "The Last of Us" is reportedly pushing forward with its movie adaptation.

Apparenlty, Nolan North, voice actor of the hit post-apocalyptic game revealed that there is indeed going to be a movie adaptation and the sequel to the game will follow suit.

North revealed the news during a Q&A panel at MetroCon in Florida, Game Rant reported.

And while no actors have been signed on board yet, Slash Film reported that game creator Neil Druckmann is going to bring "big changes" in the movie but assures fans that he will maintain "faithful" to game's story.

And while Druckmann is busy with "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," it doesn't mean that he's not thinking about "The Last of Us" movie adaptation.

"When I'm in the office it's all Uncharted 4 all the time," he said. "When I should be sleeping, it's the [Last of Us] movie."

He also confirmed that he's done with the movie's draft, revealing that there are already actors being eyed on to play the role of Ellie and Joel.

"I just finished the second draft and we did a table read with a bunch of actors and that's where we're at."

While it hasn't been made official yet, Digital Spy claimed that "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams is going to portray the role of Ellie, while a number of stars including Dylan McDermott, Hugh Jackman and Gerard Butler are reportedly being eyed to play the role of Joel.

"It was announced sort of prematurely almost in that I would love to play Ellie, they would love me to play Ellie," she said. "There's no film happening at this very second, so I cannot play Ellie right at this very minute. But when that comes around - if and when that comes around - I'll be here."

While she hasn't confirmed her involvement yet, "Game of Thrones" star Maisie Williams admitted that she went on meetings with Neil Druckmann and other movie executives.

"I had a lunch a little while ago and we spoke about the possibility of me playing Ellie and that's really exciting and I would absolutely love to," Williams confirmed in a report by Screen Rant. "They announced at Comic-Con that we had spoken about it, and since then in like every interview people have been asking me about it."

"Honestly I would love to and I think they would love me to play Ellie also, and that's where it is at the moment. There's no script, no director, it's still very early days for the whole project, but if it all goes ahead soon enough I think, yeah, I would love to."
