Damien Darhk will be the new big bad of "Arrow." The enigmatic villain, to be portrayed by Neal McDonough, is said to be someone who has no regard for human life. I
n "Arrow" season 4 spoiler executive producer Marc Guggenheim shared to Entertainment Weekly, Darhk is describe is someone very different from previous villains. Damien's business is all about killing and he has no good morals.
"He's not nearly as moral. We wanted a villain who was pure evil because we've never really done that on the show before. That's what Damien represents. He's the prince of darkness," EW wrote when a fan asked for an "Arrow" season 4 spoiler.
In "Arrow" season 3, Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable) described his mortal enemy as someone affiliated to crime syndicate H.I.V.E., the same organization that hired Deadshot to kill the brother of John Diggle (David Ramsey).
With this connection, expect the 'bodyguard and driver' of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) to have significant story line in "Arrow" season four.
"Well, he has a personal connection to H.I.V.E., because his brother was killed by Deadshot, who was hired by H.I.V.E., so there's a personal interest that he has in taking down that organization. And that's the big baddie for the season: H.I.V.E. and I think Damien Darhk and a few others. So Diggle's going to have a big, personal story this season. It will be, finally, Diggle's season!" Ramsey told Comicbook.com when asked about H.I.V.E.
It is not just H.I.V.E. that will keep Diggle busy, even A.R.G.U.S. the agency responsible for the formation of Suicide Squad.
"Lyla Michaels is going to have some developments with A.R.G.U.S. that Diggle's not going to agree with. And Diggle's obviously just by association has become part of A.R.G.U.S. in the Suicide Squad. So they're going to get more entrenched in that this season. Lyla's going to get more involved and by association, so will Diggle," Ramsey said on the same interview.
