Manny Pacquiao's next fight is yet to be determined. The name of the opponent, the date, and the venue are currently on hold as the Filipino fighter is not yet in full health.
A few days ago, his promoter blasted him for not reporting for rehab. Now, Pacman insists Arum has nothing to be worried about. He also acknowledged that the promoter is just being worried about his health.
"I respect Bob Arum. He's just like a father to me. I believe he's just voicing out his concern (for) me and I appreciate it. I don't take it negatively," Pacquiao said in a statement.
"But he has nothing to worry about (regarding) my injury. I'm doing the rehab myself. I'm recovering faster than expected."
Many fans are excited about Manny Pacquiao's next fight after he lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr last May 2. People expect him to come back stronger, especially with the way he lost to the undefeated American fighter.
Among those who pushes him to get better is Bob Arum. However, he is not liking the way Pacquiao approach his recovery. Just a few days ago, Arum said Pacman is being unprofessional.
"As far as I'm concerned he's not an active fighter," said Arum when asked when will be Manny Pacquiao's next fight adding that the Filipino had "not been acting very professionally."
"Pacquiao was supposed to come over to see the doctor and for some reason he decided to cancel it," he added according to a report by AFP.
"When you have an operation like that you've got to get into rehab. You've got to get the doctor to look at it and to guide you as to the kind of rehab that you've got to do," said Arum.
"He's a grown man and he makes his own decisions but as far as I'm concerned he's not an active fighter."
Manny Pacquiao's next fight is expected to be announced before the end of the year.
