Sony’s Project Morpheus PS4 VR Headset Headed To GameStop Expo 2015 For ‘Large Array’ Of Demos

| By

Those who attended E3 2015 got a taste of Sony's Project Morpheus PS4 VR headset. If you missed that event or want more, be sure to attend the upcoming GameStop Expo 2015 in September 2 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas.

"Having experienced virtual reality with Project Morpheus at E3 this year, I can confidently say that this is something that truly must be seen to be believed," GameStop director of merchandising Eric Bright said in a statement.

"We are excited to bring this innovative product to our EXPO, so that our fans can be one of the first to experience virtual reality."

Although Sony's Project Morpheus PS4 VR headset was present at E3, the device has "rarely been seen at public events," according to Gamespot. This makes its presence at the EXPO "particularly noteworthy."

Fans looking forward to playable virtual reality demos featuring Morpheus won't be disappointed. According to the retailer, it will be accompanied by "a large array of game demos and game stations" which will "satisfy all types and levels of gamers."

Last month, Franchise Herald reported that Sony has not decided on an exact release date for Morpheus. So far, we know that the Japanese tech giant is planning to launch the virtual reality headset in the first half of 2015.

Sony has also held back on announcing how much Project Morpheus will cost saying that it's still "too early" to do so.

GameStop Expo 2015 opens its doors on Wednesday, September 2 at the 250,000-square foot Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

Registration is now open via the GameStop website. General admission passes retail at $40 while limited VIP passes go for $110. $20 student passes will be available on-site at the start of the event.

The Sony Project Morpheus PS4 VR headset will be just one among the many exhibits in the expo. It will be joined by exhibits from industry giants Microsoft, Nintendo, Take-Two, Electronic Arts and Activision Blizzard among others.
